When it is necessary to update the maps
The maps are updated from the suppliers (NAVTEQ, TeleAtlas and others) and from the software societies on average of every 6 months. Their availability on the market is effective after 3 months. The whole maps updating cicle (from the production to the commercial spread) is cointained in 9 months. The writing 1oq2007, 2oq2007, 3oq2007 and 4oq2007 near to the SkyWay map code (that you can also find on the SD Card) it indicates the quarter (1oq = 1o quarter, 2oq = 2o quarter, etc.) and the year of the map. Therefore the map can be considered enough updated if the reference quarter is 9/12 months before. We advise to ask for the map updating with annual frequency.
